Church Hill, TN – Glendon Conant, age 93, of Church Hill passed away on Good Friday at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Conant was born in Jackson County, Alabama, and had lived in Alabama and Elizabethton, TN before moving to Church Hill 45 years ago. She had worked for J.C. Penney for several years in the ladies department. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mount Carmel, TN, and was a devout Christian, loved the Lord dearly, she taught Sunday School Classes for most of her life, she was a member of The Gideons International Church Hill / Mt. Carmel Camp #41018 and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Conant in 2012, daughter, Diane Moss and parents, John Talley Webb and Dora Mae Jacobs.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Keith & Tina Shell of Surgoinsville, granddaughter, Pamela & David Cannady of Tifton, GA and great grandchild, Taylor Jordan Cannady of Tifton, GA.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm Monday at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mount Carmel, TN, and anytime at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted 7 pm Monday at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Pressnel officiating. Entombment services will be conducted 11 am Tuesday at the Church Hill Memory Gardens.
