What a gain for heaven, I loved this ole boy as many, many of you do. Back in the day, when Saturday breakfasts were being held, I never missed one and had the honor of sitting with GC and Jim Issenbice, listening to stories one after the other. GC never met a stranger and could make anyone feel the love of the Lord when meeting. I'll see you later my friend. God Bless you family!

GC helped raise a lot of us young “Air Guard Fire Dogs” back in the 1980’s. He sure taught me a lot and I’m what and where I am today, thanks to him. Rest In Peace GC! We’ll see you at the top!!

Shelby, Steve, Tammy and family So sorry to hear about GC. The Parker family and the Begley’s were all close and grew up together. My mom Ruth and Aunt Mary were always teasing him and his was always giving it back to them. They had such a great relationship as with all the siblings. It was so funny to watch them when they got together. LeDelhia Horne Hall Keeping you in my prayers

Many great memories of GC from when Steve and I were growing up together. Although, at the time, I didn\'t understand why he would get so mad when Steve and I would do really stupid stuff 🙂 Of course, now that I have raised two children I completely understand... It was out of love...

So sorry for your loss. GC was a heck of a man. A friend and a mentor. I enjoyed talking to him many a times. He was a heck of a man with the fire department at carters valley and the ruratan. He will be greatly missed.

There is not enough words that can be said about GC. I spent countless hours in his den talking about 100's of different things. GC played a huge part in helping with the start of Carters Valley FIre Dept. This community will always be grateful for the support the he gave to Thy Neighbor, USFA, KFD, Mason's, Community Center, CVVFD and etc. Thank You so very much for your service and sacrifice!!! Ms Shelby, Steve, and family if there is anything I can do Please just let me know. Gone But Never to be Forgotten
