Irene Elizabeth Richmond, 71, passed away Friday (May 5th, 2017) at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of the Hawkins County Community. Irene was a member of Lyons Chapel AME Zion Methodist Church and attended Hope Community Church at Allendale.She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas & Maggie Long, special friend Steve Blakely, sister Barbara Bly (Ozine), brother William Thomas Long and ex-husband William Grant Richmond Jr.Irene is survived by her son Keith Richmond and his wife Keli, grandsons Karson Richmond, Karter Richmond and Kameron Bond, great-grandson Keyian Bond, sisters Helen Long, Marlene Richmond (Roy) and Romelda Moore, brother Danny Long, special nieces and nephews Lynette, Shakira Long, Ivan, and Nathan, Roy Richmond Jr, Ryan Moore, and Randy Moore.Calling hours will be from 2 to 3 pm Monday (May 8th, 2017) at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 3 pm with Rev. Pam Hoard and Rev. Doug Mesner officiating. The burial will follow to Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Special Thank you to the Wellmont Hospice Nurses; Nina, Heather, Skye and Vladlena.
