James Anthony "Tony" Moore Kingsport, TN James Anthony "Tony" Moore, age 55, of Kingsport passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Moore was born in Kingsport, and had spent majority of his life in Sullivan and Hawkins County. He graduated from Sullivan Central High School and the University of Tennessee with his degree in Architecture. He owned and operated the Moore Group Architects since August of 1983. He was a member of the American Institute of Achitects, Construction Specifications Institution, and the Downtown Kingsport Association. He is preceded in death by his father; James Roy Moore and a nephew; Wesley Harkleroad. Survivors include his wife; Karen Frazier Moore of the home, and daughter; Rachel Moore of the home. Mother; Phyllis Jones Moore of Blountville, sisters; Alisa Fleenor and husband, Roger of Blountville, Deena Moore of Winston Salem, NC. Several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, and anytime at the residence. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday at 7 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Gerhardt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
