CHURCH HILL – John Charles Davis, Jr., 65, passed away Saturday (July 25, 2015) at Indian Path Medical Center following an extended illness.Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Church Hill and was a member of Elm Springs United Methodist Church. He was a retired employee of AFG Greenland Plant. He enjoyed working with horses.He is preceded in death by his parents, John Charles, Sr., and Juanita Arnold Davis.He is survived by one son, John Charles “Chad” Davis, III and wife, LeAnn, Church Hill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kendra and Bobby DePriest, Blountville; Tara and Jeffrey Brown, Johnson City; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Glass, Kadey DePriest, Lilly DePriest, Zachary Crawford, Emily Crawford, Rachel Crawford, Sarah Brown, Olivia Brown, Lakyn Brown, Devin Davis and Chloe Davis; three great grandchildren, Gracie Glass, Presley Glass and Porter Glass; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Lewis Tunnell, Church Hill; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Debbie Davis, Blountville; several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home.Services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Ed and Pamela Rose officiating.Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Elm Springs Cemetery.
