Johnson-Arrowood Funeral HomeChurch Hill, TNSURGOINSVILLE – Kenneth J. Henderson, 87, of Surgoinsville, went home to be with the Lord Monday (October 12, 2015) at Church Hill Health Care & Rehab following a brief illness.Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a member of Amis Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a retired operator at AFG Industries with 32 years’ service. He was a member and Past Master of Clay Masonic Lodge # 386.He is preceded in death by his parents, William N. and Roxie Armstrong Henderson, two brothers, Gerald Dewitt Henderson and Russell Henderson.He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Crigger Henderson, Surgoinsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sandra Henderson, Surgoinsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dan Winstead, Surgoinsville; three grandchildren, Brandon Henderson and wife, Fanta, Brian Winstead and wife, Karissa, Kristen Boyd and husband, McClure; four great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Henderson, Surgoinsville; one sister, Helen Crigger and husband, Gene; several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.Services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Winegar and Pastor Bob Hults officiating.
