KINGSPORT- Linda Helen Channell, 64, passed away on Monday (September 22, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Mayfield, Kentucky and was a member of First Baptist Church of Church Hill. Ms. Channell was a Registered Nurse in home health care for several years. She was also a volunteer for the Hawkins County Lunch Box Program. Linda’s greatest joy was her grandchildren whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Garland, and brother, Joe Garland. She was survived by her two sons, Tony Howe and his wife, Krista of Kentucky, Rick Howe and his wife, Beth of Church Hill, brother, Barney Garland, sister, Judy English, grandchildren, Allie, Lauren, and Evan, and step sister, Dawn Barnhill. Calling hours are from 6 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
