Mount Holly, NC – Marsha Kay Woods, 65, departed this earth for her heavenly home on November 29, 2015 at her home unexpectedly. Marsha was born August 1, 1950 to her parents Ruby Skelton Woods and J.T. Woods, both deceased. Marsha was a 1968 graduate of Church Hill High School. Marsha relocated to Mount Holly, NC in 1992, where she worked for 22 years as a successful Real Estate Broker and Property Manager with Richard L. Eppley & Associates. She managed 175 properties and was loved by all her tenants.Marsha shared her love and talent of cooking, by preparing and serving meals weekly at the Open Arms Ministry for the homeless and less fortunate in Gastonia, NC. Marsha loved and was loved dearly by her family and friends.Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and one brother, Onzie G. Woods.Marsha leaves behind a son, Casey Chambers of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Rex Mallory and his wife, Kay of Bristol, VA, Tommy Woods of Kingsport; sister, Linda Woods Vanzant and her husband, Donnie of Gate City, VA; sister-in-law, Bernice Woods of Kingsport, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Marsha also leaves behind her closest friends, a group of women who loved and enjoyed her dearly; Lila Eppley, Tonya McCullough, Judy Dixon, Kathy Lineberger and Sandy Carter. The group formed their own club The Chicklets and Marsha was a charter member.A graveside service to celebrate Marsha’s life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Elm Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rex Mallory officiating. A visitation and small reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall for friends to pay respects to Marsha’s loved ones.Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Elm Springs United Methodist Church, P.O.
