Doug and LuAnn are the strongest most faithful couple we have ever met. Every time we saw them, no matter what they were doing, they were always sharing their faith and love for Jesus. They always shared how the Lord was working in their lives. It was a privilege to just be in their presence, bathed in the light of Jesus through them. Our deepest condolences to LuAnn and his living family members, but there is rejoicing in Heaven! May you all be continuously comforted. Love, Jason and Krista 💗

My sincere sympathy goes out to the entire family. I did not know Doug personally but grew to love him through LuAnn. I know he is resting in God's arms.

Luann we know your heart is broken but only till you see Doug again. Our whole family will miss Doug’s loving spirit and contagious smile. I can personally attest to his efforts as a Godly witness reaching the hearts of family and friends. His stories are legend and will keep his memory alive for a long time. When I think of Doug I remember to forget about the trials of this earthly race and keep my eye on the heavenly prize. Thank you both for sharing a part of our lives. We’re praying for your comfort. I was so honored to care for Doug. I never will forget him and Luann praying with me here in the office when I was feeling down. Doug's faith and light were wonderful things to be behold and he will not be forgotten. I am looking forward to my sign on bonus as well. See you on the other side buddy. 🙂

So thankful to have known and worked with Doug at the Sheriff's office. He always was a hard worker and made working feel fun and safe. He was one of the old school guys and will be missed. Prayers and thoughts to the family.
