Church Hill, TNMelissa Laningham Robinson Rogers, age 46, of Church hill passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center following a brief illness.Melissa was a lifelong resident of Church Hill and was a graduate of Volunteer High School. She attended the Goshen Valley Church of God. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother; Elsie Laningham, maternal grandparents; Henry and Ida Bell Crawford, special friend; Edith "Nanny" Jennings.Survivors include her parents; Jerry and Carolyn Laningham of Church Hill, husband; David Rogers of Church Hill, Sons; Richard Rogers, Tommy Nelms, Jeremy Robinson, step-children; David Rogers all of Church Hill and Grace Rogers of Mount Carmel, brother; Michael and Joy Laningham, nephew; Alex Laningham all of Erwin, former husband and close friend; John Robinson of Church Hill, special friend; Beatrice "Granny" Marshall of Church Hill.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 7 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Regina Shelton and Rev. "Red" Dingus officiating.Graveside services will be conducted 11 am Friday at the McPheeters Bend Cemetery with Tom Feagins, John Haynie, Jason Spears, Jason Skelton, Chris Marshall, Timmy Simpson and David Rogers serving as pallbearers.
