I've stared at this screen, for I don't know how long, heartbroken and unable to put my feelings into words. I hadn't seen Connor in years, but I never forgot him. I will never forget him. I'll never forget the first time I saw him. I was 5, nervous and scared on the first day of kindergarten. I walked into Mrs. Chambers class at John F. Kennedy Elementary, and there he was. Connor, with his big smile and bright eyes. I was completely smitten. He was my first boyfriend, my first 'check yes or no' note, and the first boy to ever hold my hand... Connor entered my heart many years ago, and he will forever stay there. Sending all of my love and prayers to his family and loved ones.

Connor, I dont know where to begin so I will just have to pick a place to start. You left the biggest impression on my heart and my life. What a blessing it was to be able to experience your friendship in this lifetime. You were always so kind hearted and giving. I remember you often offering a helping hand to individuals that other people would turn their nose up to. You also loved children. When I learned that you were to have a child of your own, I was so happy for you that you were granted the opportunity to be a father. I knew that you would make an excellent father and raise a wonderful son. I am so sorry you were not able to spend more time with him, but I know that your family will show him how amazing and loving of a person you were! Another thing I remember about you is how much you loved your family and how important they were in your life. You were also a spontaneous and fun loving guy! We shared many adventures and memories together. Everytime I go to Mendota, I think of you! I hope that someday we will meet again, but until then I will cherish your warm memory in my heart. I'm sure you are doing great things on the other side. We all love and miss you so much! Love, Katie.
