Pauline Vermillion ROGERSVILLE- Pauline Mallett Vermillion, 74, passed away on Saturday (January 4, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born in Hawkins County and was a member of Phipps Bend Baptist Church. Ms. Vermillion was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 year. She was a loving mother and loved sewing and working in her flowers. Pauline loved going to church and was faithful to go up until she became sick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Vermillion, parents, Hugh Amis and Myrtle Maude Mallett, sister, Bertha Manis, brother, Billy Comer, and step mother, Virginia Mallett. She is survived by her sons, Johnny Allen Morrison of Surgoinsville, Jeffery Dexter Morrison and his wife, Carla of Killen, Alabama, daughter, Marcia Diane Vermillion of Kingsport, brothers, Ray Mallett and his wife, Betty, Jim Mallett and his wife, Liz, sister, Florence Chastain and her husband, Mitch, grandchildren, Jennifer LaGrange of Germany, Andrea Morrison of New Market, Alabama, Justin Morrison, Taylor Chapman, both of Killen, Alabama, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Reed Mitchell officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Bowser cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 12 noon to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Justin Morrison, Junior Manis, Jimmy Christian, Scotty Mallett, William Price, and Clarence Conant.
