Surgoinsville, TN – Ralph Junior Baker, age 89 of Surgoinsville passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Baker was born in Letcher County, KY and had lived in Manassas, VA before moving to Surgoinsville in 1995. He was a self-employed electrician and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WW II and Korea. He is preceded in death by his parents; George Baker and Cora Reed Baker, brother; Earl Baker and grandson, Michael Kevin Mullins.Survivors include his wife; Marcelle Phipps Baker of the home, sons; Gary & Ruth Baker of Surgoinsville, Larry & Stacci Baker of Rogersville, daughters; Carol & Joe Mullins of Rogersville, Vileta & Bolton “Joe” Hutchinson of Rogersville, Pamela Lewis of Fargo, North Dakota, brothers; Charles, Jimmy, Lonnie and Bobby , sisters; Phyllis and Thelma. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren , great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Calling hours from 5 to 7 pm Sunday at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Baker and Rev. Bobby Baker officiating.
