Eph. 1:16-19Pastor Ronnie Trent finished his journey through this world and is now home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ whom he dedicated his life to. He will never know pain or sorrow again. He is HOME! He was the dedicated and faithful pastor at Mt. View Baptist Church for over 25 years. He was truly a servant of God. Over the last eight years, he has fought a debilitating disease and only the Lord knew the pain and suffering he endured. During his ordination service he was asked if he was willing to endure all that comes along with the ministry, which later became pastoring. He agreed. The Lord blessed him and his family in many ways and enabled him to declare the gospel for many years. He also endured persecution, heartbreak and abandonment. He was also asked if he was willing to accept these condictions. He again said yes. He said he knew he wasn't perfect, but would perform his duties to the best of his ability until his dying day. And he did. He was truly a good and faithful servant. Great are his rewards. He is preceded in death by his parents; James Paul Trent and Mattie Arnold Trent.
