Stanley Allen Carter CHURCH HILL- Stanley Allen Carter, who most people knew as "hot dog", from when he drove a semi-truck for Harris Trucking, went home to be with his Savior and soon coming King on Friday (March 8, 2014) at his residence in South Dakota. He was presently working part-time in South Dakota at Hy-Vee where he made many friends. He was a member of the true church that Jesus died for and purchased with his own blood. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served 18 1/2 years for his country.  He was preceded in death by his wife who led him to Christ Jesus, Phyllis J. Carter; father, Cecil Glenn Carter, mother-in-law, Ida Head Arnold, father-in-law Pastor Fain Arnold, and brother-in-law, Jim Dickerson. He is survived by his wife, Marian F. (Raml) Carter, two sons and daughter in laws, Charles and Beth Raml, Vincent and Karen Raml, grandchildren, Klair, Jack, Alex, and Ethan Raml, all of South Dakota. His foreign exchange student daughters: Thais Uemura of Brazil, Theresa Haiderer of Austria, Anna Hackel of Germany, Viviana Socca of Italy and Annika Krause of Germany. Stanley's other family includes his mother, Anna Bell Carter, his sisters Charlene Bowman, and husband Larry and Sherry Simpson and husband Jack; his step-children, Shawn Manis and Cassandra Durham. Calling hours are from 5 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be held 8:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. William Truman officiating. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at McPheeters Bend Cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM to go in procession.  In lieu of flowers, Stanley wished memorials to be sent to CONTACT Ministries, P.O. Box 1403, Johnson City, TN 37605. Stanley volunteered daily at CONTACT Ministries serving those in need. This caring service to others was one of the joys of his life.
