Thomas Randall Winegar, 73, of Church Hill, TN peacefully entered into his eternal home on Monday January 1, 2024, after a difficult battle with kidney disease.

Randall was born on February 25, 1950, to Thomas and Bettye (Ramey) Winegar of Church Hill. He enjoyed playing basketball and continued to play for Steed College where he earned a Degree in Business. He worked and lived for a period of time in Louisville, KY. He held dear the friendships he made there and enjoyed picking with his bluegrass band The Seldom Heard. He was also a member of the Upward Way Quartet.

Randall returned to Church Hill to settle down and met his wife of 29 years Sue Winegar. He worked in trucking most of his life, eventually retiring from driving at Walmart after 18 years.

Randall will be remembered for his gentle spirit and kind nature. He was a Christian that loved the Lord and He was a lifelong member of Belmont Baptist Church. He loved music, and spent his free time practicing, teaching, and playing bluegrass with friends. He loved his family, friends and neighbors and never missed an opportunity to help someone out.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Bettye (Ramey)Winegar and a special niece Tara Huff Carter. Randall leaves his friends and family with wonderful memories, lots of love and an admirable example of a life well lived.

He is survived by his wife Sue Winegar and his children Brandon Winegar, Jason Winegar (Michelle) Chip StClair (Jasmine), and Jennifer Garland. His grandchildren Paige Garland, Cannon, Jack, Miller, and Amelia St Clair, and Tommy Winegar. His loving sisters Jennie Carter (Wes), Mary Gordon (Ron), and Carla Christian (Randy). Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Clay Lodge #386 will be conducting the Masonic Rights following the visitation. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ron Gordon officiating. A graveside service will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
